Whether it’s the captivating rhythm, iconic fashion, or effortless class, Ball culture not only stands out, it reaches across time and culture influencing us to this day. To bring that into animation meant we needed to go all out and showcase both its extravagance and its influence. With fluid cel animation combined with timeless 2D techniques we brought these characters to life, traveling through time and bringing the impact of the Ball scene literally jumping from the pages of the New York Times using Google Lens augmented reality.
